Local Ministry Partners
Representatives from local compassionate ministry organizations are invited to be a part of our annual Ministry Fair. Our congregation has an opportunity to talk with the representatives, and as a result, many have found places of service within our community.
Through an Angel Tree, families and individuals have an opportunity to share God’s love by providing Christmas gifts to children in need.
With the help of a sister Nazarene church in Greenville, SC, we are in the early stages of outreach to Hispanics in our area. As a part of this outreach, our church is host to English as a Second Language classes through Learn English for Living Foundation.
Operation Christmas Child
Our church is a drop-off location for Operation Christmas Child (OCC). Several groups and many individuals pack shoe boxes each year for delivery to children around the world through the Samaritan’s Purse program. There is also an opportunity to join a team of volunteers to spend a day processing shoe boxes at one of the OCC centers in Charlotte, North Carolina. Since 1993 more than 130 countries have received shoe boxes, and 8 million shoe boxes were delivered to children in 2010.
Kairos Prison Ministry
Several times throughout the year there are opportunities to support Kairos Prison Ministry, an international Christian ministry, by providing cookies for team members to take with them into the prisons as part of their ministry to inmates; or to attend training sessions to become a team member.
